Year 8 student, Eliana, was selected by England Netball to be ball patrol for the England v New Zealand match on 2nd February at Liverpool Echo Arena. Here she got to meet her idol and role model, Jade Clarke, and practice her shooting on the official court. As ball patrol they are responsible for taking the team bags to their benches, ensuring the ball is returned to the court quickly if it goes out of play and ensuring the ball and court are clear of anything that may cause a player to slip or get injured. Eliana is currently working towards her ‘Pass on Your Passion’ award, which is an award that encourages young Netballers (aged 12-24 years) to complete 400 volunteering hours within 2 years. The ball patrol has gone towards Eliana¹s hours and in the space of 10 months she has completed 200 hours. If she completes her 400 hours she will be the first person on the Isle of Man to complete it!

Well done Eliana!
