For their Charity Challenge, tutor group 8MBu chose Manx Cancer Help and have raised a staggering £603.95 with the total still to rise! Students took part in sponsored cycles, running and bake sales to raise this fabulous total to help the local community.
This morning the students proudly handed the fruit of their efforts to Mrs Dawn Herbert of Manx Cancer Help (and also a former QEII parent) who informed the students where the money will go.
Manx Cancer Help is a Charity that helps to deal with the pressures of long term and terminal illnesses such as Cancer and Parkinson’s. They do this by providing high quality therapy, and do so at any point during or after an illness that has affected people with these diseases and those around them. The students can be sure that their hard earned money will be well spent!
