This morning Tutor Group 8HAL presented a cheque for £760.09 to representatives of the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association, Sandy Denning (Executive Officer and Staywell Clinic Manager) and Elaine Cain (Treasurer of the Peel Branch).
The money was raised as part of the Year 8 Charity Challenge, where students selected a charity to raise money for this term. The students organised a whole school ‘dress down day’ with a fancy dress ‘Hop-tu-naa’ theme and a cake sale.
Sandy and Elaine spent time chatting to the students about what they did and how the money would be of great benefit. They thanked the students for their efforts and support. Well done 8HAL!
