The English Department opened up a ‘War Poetry Competition’ to students across Key Stage 3 to honour the centenary of Armistice Day. The theme was simply ‘War’, so students could write any form of poem, about any topic to do with war. We received an excellent range of poems from students across the year groups. The vivid language and imagery included in all of them was fantastic!
The winner for Year 7 was Hannah, who was also the overall winner. Year 8 was won by Kitty and Year 9 winners were Grace and Tegan.
Well done to everyone who contributed!
