On Tuesday 12th March, QEII were proud to host the ‘Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador Training’ for a group of staff and students from across the five high schools on the Island.

The session, delivered by Charlton and Josh from the Diana Award, aimed to ensure all staff and students could identify different types of bullying, help other people who are being bullied and work with the schools to create and implement an effective policy accessible to all.

The day ended with each school pledging to work towards one or more of the Diana Award badges, of which the staff and students from QEII have chosen the ‘Respect and Community’ badges in order to show our commitment to stamping out bullying.

We are very excited to announce Year 7 student, Kate Doran, as our Anti-Bullying Ambassador representative with Year 8 student, Lily Filson, by her side as deputy. The girls have a very capable team around them; Rosie Hughes, Hollie Dawson, Heather Spiers, Harrison Killip, Jacob Butler, Lindsay Collister, Liam Bull, Ruby Thompson, Rohan Venter, Ricky Prizevs, Roo Hyett, Jack Mylchreest and Eve McGeown. The team has already begun planning lots of exciting activities and events for staff, students, parents and the wider community. Watch this space!
