Students enjoy singer songwriter visit!

Published Tuesday 14 February 2017

Members of the School’s Junior Choir and folk group, Club Kiaull, alongside some of our Year 7 students, were able to participate in a songwriting workshop and performance organised and funded by The Arts Council.

JonnoPromotions enabled two talented singer songwriters, Warren Attwell and Stephen Macartney, to visit the School yesterday and perform and help the students with their understanding of melody and lyrics whilst songwriting. Both musicians loved the creativity of our students and their ability to jump right into the creative task. Both Warren and Stephen are from Northern Ireland and travelled and performed in a variety of locations including Nashville in the famous ‘BlueBird Café’.

We hope to upload a video shortly showcasing the morning.
