Arrangements for GCSE, AS and A Levels in 2022
Ofqual's contingencies decisions document
(published jointly with the Department for Education) and
guidance on contingency
arrangements, are now available and set out the plans in the
unlikely event that exams are unable to go ahead as planned this
coming summer.
The government’s clear policy decision is that GCSEs, AS and A level exams will go ahead in England this summer. JCQ and the exam boards continue to work, and to support students, schools and colleges, on this basis.
Ofqual has also written a series of open letters to students to confirm the arrangements for regulated qualifications being taken in Summer 2022.
