School Wind Band visits primary schools

Earlier this week, members of the School Wind Band, under the direction of Mr Kinley, travelled out to Peel Clothworkers, Michael, Marown and St John’s primary schools to perform short concerts for children in Key Stages 1 and 2.

The audiences had the chance to learn about and hear the different instruments in the band before hearing them play together in a wide variety of music including ‘Marching Marines’, ‘Feel It Still’ and ‘Skyfall’.

Many thanks to the staff and students in the band for giving up their time to rehearse for these concerts and to staff and students at the primary schools for inviting the band to visit them and for providing such enthusiastic audiences!
