We are very grateful to The Royal Society of Chemistry who came in to School last week to work with the Science Department. to allow Year 12 and 13 Chemists to get to grips with Infrared Spectrometry.
Although this is an important part of the A-level course, few schools get the opportunity to own a Spectrometer due to the cost of this specialised equipment.
The representatives of the RSC came from Manchester and Dublin Universities and student made paracetamol and tested it for purity with some excellent results!
