Annual Bullying Awareness Project

Published Friday 23 November 2018

Our annual Bullying Awareness project was a great success, culminating in an impressive array of performances from Year 7 and Year 11 students. Year 7 students have been exploring issues surrounding bullying and have been busy creating performances about the topic using the medium of drama, dance and music. All performers created sensitive and insightful pieces and it was hard to pick the winners!

We are pleased to announce that in third place we had Ollie, Joseph and Alexander, who performed their own poem. Second place went to Summer, Abigail, Martha and Chloe who used physical theatre, dance and the spoken word creatively to convey their story. In first place were Hollie and Lily who alternately read out the thoughts of the victim of bullying with great clarity and sensitivity. Year 11 students Aalish, Paris, Daisy, Sophia, Jasmine, Caitlin, Frankie and Emma started the proceedings by performing their GCSE pieces to the Year 7 cohort about name calling, bullying and the difficulties young people can face. All in all, the students were a credit to the School and all performers were inspirational. Well done!
