Ski Trip to Les Menuires, France
During the Christmas holidays, our Year 8 students enjoyed a fantastic week on the Ski Trip in the beautiful resort of Les Menuires, one of the famous three valleys in the French Alps.
A heavy snowfall the week prior to arriving created fantastic conditions in the mountains. As most of the group were beginners, lessons from Jerome and Naomi the ski instructors helped the students improve their skills very quickly. By the end of the week, nearly everyone could make parallel turns and slalom their way down the slopes!
On New Year’s Eve the group ventured into the centre of the resort to watch the fireworks, and an impromptu performance from France’s top Michael Jackson impersonator! The group also watched nearly three hundred of the regions ski instructors take part in a torchlight descent to see in the New Year.
