Our Science curriculum has been crafted by our subject specialists to provide students with a comprehensive understanding which aims to ensure that all students, regardless of background, develop secure scientific knowledge and skills that support their progression through education and into future pathways while fostering a love for science.

The curriculum is structured to promote progression and continuity in learning. Knowledge and skills are carefully sequenced so that students build on prior understanding year by year, moving from fundamental concepts to increasingly complex scientific principles as they progress through the key stages.

At Key Stage 3, the curriculum offers a broad and balanced introduction to Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Students develop foundational knowledge of key scientific concepts and theories, while also building essential practical and investigative skills. This stage establishes the understanding required for success in further scientific study.

At Key Stage 4, all students study Biology, Chemistry, and Physics through the Edexcel GCSE (9–1) specification, The curriculum revisits and extends Key Stage 3 learning, enabling students to deepen their understanding and apply knowledge in a range of contexts. Practical work is integral to the course, with students completing core practical's alongside additional opportunities to develop experimental, analytical, and evaluative skills.

Overall, the Science curriculum is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to engage confidently with science in academic, vocational, and real‑world contexts.
